From the Commodore
Welcome past Commodores, Honorary Life members, Veteran members, members and guests
Spring has reminded us its here at present, with constant Gale force northerly winds forecast for the next week or two, with the odd southerly turnaround plus there is also a tropical storm forecast with 58knots for the end of the month.
With Summer coming up, please remember the boat ramp etiquette….…….remove strops and flags, and get your boat ready outside of the barrier arm, plus please keep the ramp clear to allow other boaties inward and outward maneuverability, and if you are waiting for someone at the ramp, please show a bit of patience.
Do not leave your car and trailer unattended on the ramp while you park your boat at the breastworks.
The Clubs proposed New Constitution Draft has been circulated via email for feed back, and comments. First draft reviews are being undertaken with the next version out shortly, after a legal review, so it will be ready for presentation at the AGM.

Mana Marina have advised us that subject to weather conditions that they intend to start entrance dredging operations on September 22-25th. Preliminary work will actually start on the 19th, and whilst the Marina entrance should be open at all times, caution is advised as their barge “Grey Ghost” will be present, and is contactable on VHF Channel #6.
Travel Lift has been out of action for the last week whilst new steel cables, and other maintenance work was carried out. A huge thanks to Ted Coates for stepping in and helping the club out over this.
Always happy to discuss any items personally with members at their leisure.
