Welcome past Commodores, Honorary Life Members, Life Members, Members and guests.

These cold start/frosty mornings have meant a calm start, which has also enabled a few lucky fisho's to get out and enjoy some midweek fishing.

A friendly reminder to the trailer boaties, please do NOT DRIVE YOUR BOAT ON TO THE TRAILER, as this undermines the launching ramp. If you keep doing this then we will not have a ramp to launch your boat.

WAKA RACING, 23/8/25

We are advised there will be Waka racing on 23rd August starting from the Sea Scouts Hall @ 8.18am to Onepoto and returning. The expected finish time for the races is about 11.45am. For any queries please contact Kathleen Masoe on 0277334498.

2025 MCC AGM

The date has been set for Sunday 12th October, 2-4pm, and the Opening Day will follow on Saturday 18th Octoober.

All those potential committee volunteers, please get your name in for any of the roles that you believe you can contribute to the club for .

Membership Renewals for the new financial year

The system is in place and renewal notices have been sent.

This involved manually splitting the previous husband/wife/spouse joint memberships, creating a separate membership for the spouse/partner members, then linking those to the primary member. This has seen our member numbers grow from just on 900 to approx 1300. Unfortunately, we got a few wrong and we apologize for that. As previously advised, please let us know if anything seems wrong with the member renewal notice you have received.

Remember in terms of the rules, subs are due by 31 August. If you have not paid your subs by then, and you come into the wardroom, you cannot be served alcohol.

During September you will be able to pay your subs at the bar or office to immediately reactivate your membership card and be served alcohol.
After the 3oth September your card cannot be automatically reactivated as reinstatement of membership must go to the committee in terms of the rules.

Subs may be paid at the bar, at the office, by internet banking. Payment by credit card was expected to be live by now, however we have experienced issues with the Bank that should be resolved in the next few days.

We have a new Member Portal on the website. As this is a portal for members only, registration ensures only current members can view the information. Once you register, we need to check your membership details are current and then grant access. This will ultimately happen automatically, however, for now we need to do this manually so please allow 24hours from registration for full access to be granted, when you will be able to:

View an electronic copy of your membership card with an expiry date
Download a copy of your membership card in the event you are visiting a club with reciprocal rights and need to show a current membership.
View a list of the clubs we have a reciprocal agreements with.
Make a payment to the club for any of our services
Register your boat as a club vessel and record details of its design, equipment etc.
Find details of club members vessels in our Vessel Register
View your profile and update your personal information in terms of the club's Rule 15.
