Thursday 17th October

From the Commodore

36mins prior to our first scheduled full committee meeting, I received via email the resignations from the committee of the current Treasurer (Vicki Mackay), Secretary (Doug Clark), Vice-commodore (Ray Di Leva), Rear  Commodore (Terina Adams) and a General committee member (Nils Snopko).

The remainder of the committee are focused, behind me, and are looking forward to “Making Mana Great again.”

In the best interests of the Club and being open and transparent, the end result of this is that we will be having a General Meeting to full fill vacant positions. So if you are passionate about the club like myself and the current committee, then please grab a nomination form and get MCC on the go again!!

Very happy to discuss this personally with anyone at their leisure.

Bathurst 2024

A dedicated team of Petrol heads plus a few random club members joined us at the club on Sunday afternoon to enjoy a great day of racing albeit a little bit boring racing, with not a lot of crash's; which always makes for more fun.

An impromptu sweepstake was held with the lucky winner Kat Milne managing to draw both 1st and second place enjoying a $82.00 windfall.

30th November 1600 hrs.

Prizegiving for the fishing section Inaugural Annual Photo competition for this year.

Come on down to the club and celebrate those members who are out there doing it and taking advantage of the resources on our doorstep.

All club members and guests welcome – you do not have to have attended any fishing section meetings nor must join the fishing section to attend.

We are hopeful of having past speakers and sponsors attend to make this a memorable day, and would love to see you there.

Have a suggestion or some feedback?
Lets get in touch.

Forms are available at the office or on the Wardroom notice board.

Please return the completed from to the office or a committee member.

From the Marina Team

To all Marina users,

We wish to provide you with advanced notice of a temporary closure of the Marina entrance.

The entrance will be closed on Friday November 1st from 10.00am until 17.00pm. And Saturday November 2nd from 10.45am until 17.30pm.

Divers will actually be commencing the preparation on Thursday 31/10/24 so please be mindful and keep your speed to the limits

The purpose of the closure is for “jetting” which is  a dredging practice to remove the sand buildup at the entrance. Following this initial flush, we are planning a dredging system to maintain the depth as much as practically possible in the future.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to your boating plans but we are confident that this will give some draft relief as we approach the summer boating season.

Kind regards,
Mana Cruising Club and the Marina Team.

This weeks sponsor

Thanks to Travis Mackay from CPR for coming onboard as a sponsor with the very generous donation of a new “Grilled” Buffalo 5 burner BBQ to replace our previously donated tired/worn out BBQ.
