News at a glance;

  • Cruising canals in the UK presentation jointly hosted by Mana Cruising Club  and 40 South club on 7th September 5pm.

 

  • Dates for your diary -
  1. Gin, Vodka, Limoncello tasting sponsored by Kaokao, a locally owned and operated distillery in Paraparaumu - Friday 13th September, tickets $10 on sale
  2. Fishing Group - 18th September -7pm -  Speaker Trevor Burgess
  3. AGM Sunday 6th October - 2pm
  4. Yard Sale 12th October to be confirmed. Please register at the office to confirm indoor table or yard space.
  5. Opening day Saturday 19th October

Nominations for the committee need to be in writing 28 days before the AGM. Therefore closing date for nominations this year is 7th September. Application forms are available on the notice board in the wardroom or from the office. Forms must be returned to the Club Secretary Doug Clark via the office or they can be scanned and emailed.

Canal Cruising in the UK

Saturday 7 September – at Mana Cruising Club – 5.00pm-6.30pm

We welcome you to stay for dinner afterwards – please make sure you book with the restaurant

Don and Val Robertson have travelled extensively through the UK canal waterways.  They will talk about how their canal boat journey started, the picturesque scenery they encountered, the 2000 miles of inland waterways they travelled through in their narrowboat and the history of canal networks through the ages.    

Mana Cruising Club Fishing Section next meeting Wednesday 18th September 7pm.

Normal meeting and Photo Competition prizegiving followed by a presentation from Trevor Burgess on preparing your boat for the coming season.  Trevor is heavily involved with Coastguard and a Life Member of the club with a vast knowledge of things boating.  So come on down to the club and learn what things to check before heading out in your boat for the first time in a while.

Don’t forget to submit your fish photos for this month for the Photo Competition by midnight Sunday 15th September.
